Emily Carr Term 2 art

 Emily Carr was a Canadian Artist, She was born on the 18th of December 1871, and died on the 2nd of March 1945 She suffered a severe heart attack and died at the age of 73, she started painting in 1898. Last term we painted tried to paint trees of Emily Carr's Style. First, we did our planning, then laying pieces of paper on the desk and then started on a white piece of paper, Started with the trunk then made our way on with the leaves. Once we finished we let it dry and after that, we put the border on. 

This is my tree I'm proud of how it came out my favourite part of doing this was probably doing the leaves because you can make it light in the center and a little darker on the outside. Red, Orange, Pink, Green, Brown any color leaves you to want! Have you ever heard of Emily Carr? Or done anything like this? Leave it in the comments!  

My wall

On lock down I painted my wall blue it took a we while. Two week's later we painted pineapples on it. We found a stencil online and we bought it. We cut it shaped into a pineapple and then painted on the wall with the pineapple cut out. The turn out's are amazing, the photo might not be clear but it's still cool and this week we extended our bubble to my cousin Max. yah, the one that comes to Kaniere School. Art

This is my calender art the hole class did one.
We did the out lines then we colour them in with pastels I chose Cotton Candy colours.
After that we took a photo on the ground of us like.... Falling into a black hole. Then Mrs Long printed the photos of and we got to choice if we did the big or the small one I did the small one because if I used the big one it would look like we just started to fall. then we glued it on. After gluing it on we had to write our names age and class. Then we would of be done my favourite thing bout this art is the colour I choice.

Melted Wax Art

        
We were doing art we made our own clowns. First we drew our clown in our everyday book. When we were done we got a big piece of white paper. Then we choose our colour to paint in. We painted, we used melted crayons it was so much fun.


 Then we started painting I used the colours orange, green, blue, black, light blue, red and yellow. I made a blue bow, blue eye patch, green hair and light blue flower. For my border I did squares and triangles. 


 My favourite thing about my art is the bow and his light blue moustache. The thing that we used to melt the crayons in was called an Electric fry pan the water that was in it was so hot like the sun. We needed paint brushes to paint the melted crayons because if we didn’t us paint brushes we would have crayons on our hands that would bad. It took a long time, it took about a week for me. 


 The crayons dried very quickly it dries about when you blink. We had about three people at the table at a time. We had to do one stroke at a time. Each colour had its own paint brush. 


 It was fun because we got to paint with crayons and because I have never done it before.
