Today we did science. I thought when Mrs. Hickford poured the salt in it would like explored but it just made it runny it felt funny. We made a type of liquid it was hard and soft at the start but then when Mrs. Hickford pours the salt in it was all liquidy and soft. I don't think we have made a name for it yet tho I would like to give it a name tho. The way we made it was first we had to put "Sodium Polyacrylate." in first then we had to add as much water as we can, It will go all squish and soft, then we add salt when Mrs. Hickford added the sat I was thinking it was going to blow up!. So I had a lot of fun doing it and I hope I can do it again or more fun stuff like this. would you want to try it??.

This experiment definitely sounds interesting, and it is great to hear that you are learning about new ingredients like sodium polyacrylate.
In your blogpost you mentioned how you added as much water as you could to the sodium polyacrylate.
How much water did you need to add?
When the mixture was formed, what did it feel like?
Did the mixture have a smell?

You also mentioned how before the salt was added, you thought the mixture was going to blow up! This is called a hypothesis, and it is when you make an idea or assumption as to what may happen before you start an experiment.
Did you have a hypothesis for what might have happened before you added the water to the sodium polyacrylate?
If so, what was your hypothesis?
